The day that the Hobgoblin shaman Jango stumbled across the isolated desert town of Niassa was a terrible turning point in the lives of its citizens, though not all were willing to give in. Jango's magic kept the town forcibly under his sway, but some individuals like Sirizel could not be placated by his threats. Sirizel was determined to find some way to liberate her home from servitude from the witch doctor, and under cover of darkness, Sirizel departed to find help. Finding a traveling companion in the warden Xander, Sirizel continued until reaching the border of Aldenia, but her pleas fell on deaf ears, as the knights were already too far spread. The solution appeared however when the Master announced his tournament to the world, and Sirizel vowed that she would gain the Master's aid in freeing Niassa.
