Though not actively involved in any wars, Gnomish mercenaries are well-known for bringing technological superiority to the battlefield. However, although their gadgets have proven effective, their enemies have learned to target the Gnomes as quickly as possible because of their relatively frail physique. As such, Gnomish technicians have worked for ages on combat armor that can put them on par with many of their rivals. Most rely on complex clockwork and steam power, and while effective, they are very high-maintenance. Kizzy however, found a different solution entirely. She discovered that by manipulating panels of metal with magnetic forces, she could create a suit of armor that was not only easy to control, but effective at blocking even the most precise attacks. It took some years for Kizzy to create a controller capable of moving the metal at will, but the optimistic young Gnome never took a defeat without a smile and a lesson learned.
